Setting up N900 after reset and Adding Repository in 2017

Few days ago I was playing with my N900 and was installing U-Boot to boot Kali Linux rolling edition in my N900. But unfortunately i messed up phone and had to reflash my phone. Reflashing phone was quite easy as i opted for flashing with Linux this time instead of flashing it in Windows which now a days (specially with Win 10) is pain.

After flashing i thought to write a tutorial about setting up N900 in 2017 as many things have changed since last time i flashed my phone (it was i guess 2014 when i flashed my phone). Lets start setting up our beloved N900.

As you all know that Maemo.org repositories are not working but there are already alternative repositories working without any problem. All you know that Nokia N900 have a built-in client of Mail for Exchange which can enable your N900 and your Google account to establish a two way sync i.e Syncing tasks, calendar and contacts with and from your Google account.

Hi N900 users. I saw lots of people doesnt know how to update their Nitdroid kernel as there is no automatic way of updating it via HAM. The only way to update it by using Xterm. But bear in mind that I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE IF YOU DAMAGE YOU DEVICE OR LOSE YOU FILES.

Hi. It is my first post to guide you people to something. Its been almost a week that a update for NITdroid release. Its Android 4.0.3 also known as Ice Cream Sandwich. Here is the guide to upgrade your Nitdroid. Remember one thing. I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE IF YOU DO ANYTHING WRONG WITH YOUR DEVICE.

For updating Nitdroid, you should have installed nitdroid in your N900. Nitdroid ver 2.3.5 or 2.3.7. one of the two should be installed.

Here is how to setup your Gmail for your Nokia N73:
How To Setup Gmail On Your S60 Device:
Enable IMAP in your Gmail account settings.
Select 'Messaging' >'Options'>'Settings'>'E-mail'>'Mailboxes.
'If you have neversetup email on your phone before, select 'Yes' to define a new mailbox.
If you already have other mailboxes, select 'Options' and then 'New mailbox.

'Select 'Start' to begin the setup wizard.
Select 'IMAP4' and then 'Next.' Enter your Gmail username (including'@gmail.com') as the email address and select 'Next.' Enter 'imap.gmail.com' as the incoming mail server and select 'Next.'
'Enter' smtp.gmail.com' as the outgoing mail server and select 'Next.' 
Select the appropriate access point and then 'Next.' Enter a descriptive name for the email account mailbox name.Once your mailbox issetup, select it from the email mailbox settings screen.
Select 'Connection settings'>'Incoming e-mail.'Enter your Gmail username (including'@gmail.com') and password.
Select 'SSL/TLS' for your security (ports) and define your port as '993.' Select 'Back.'
Select 'Outgoing e-mail.' Enter your Gmail username (including'@gmail.com') and password.
Select 'StartTLS' for your security (ports) and define your port as '587.' Select 'Back' and change any other settings according to your preferences.


Although yahoomail settings doesn't worked on my 5320 XM. You guys should check it out may be this one works for you.
